Our Essex-based terrier-specific training concentrates only on terriers - we rarely train other breeds once past puppyhood. Knowing terriers inside and out means we can help you change your dog's behaviour for the better.
We love terriers! They are so quick to learn, quick to make decisions and quick to act on them; they are excellent problem solvers. Unfortunately these traits can mean they learn all the 'wrong things' just as quickly and behave in ways you might not be happy with.
Your trainer, Linda, is based in Brentwood in Essex and will help you crack the code to communicate with your terrier. You'll have the happy life with your dog you always wanted.
Our Terrier Training is totally bespoke to your needs. We can teach basic exercises and foundation skills, help with behavioural problems, or even just find ways to help your terrier learn to settle and relax. Talk to Linda about your dog, and what you are looking for, and we will build a plan to suit you as well as your dog. We can do online consults via video link, in home training, or even out and about where you are having the problem.
Online consults can be done with your mobile phone, as long as it has an internet connection.
Prices start from £30 for one hour (video link consultation). No fees are due until we have spoken on the phone, and agreed we can help.

Linda Ward has trained and handled scores of terriers of different breeds, ages and temperaments since 2006, including but not limited to: Fox Terriers, West Highland White Terriers (Westies), Wheaten Terriers, Cairn Terriers, Border Terriers, Norfolk Terriers, Welsh Terriers, Glen of Imaal, Norwich Terriers and English Toy Terriers. Both Linda's parents bred terriers in the past (Jack Russells and Yorkshire Terriers), and she spent her childhood and teens living with multiple terriers. There is not much Linda doesn't know about terriers, or hasn't seen before!
Linda lives with Tinker, a Patterdale/Jack Russel cross, and Tuppence, a Chihuahua/Yorkie/Jack Russell cross. Tinker is highly trained and has appeared on television as well as appearing in books, magazines, websites and catalogues. Tinker and Tuppence are both in training for Competitive Obedience, and Tinker has a string of rosettes to show his progress. Tuppence is still in training.
Linda learned to understand the tearaway terrier brain, when she lived with a very difficult terrier called Fred for over 12 years. Fred passed away in August 2019, but he will always be remembered as the beginning of the love Linda has for terriers.
